Summer Tablescapes

Posted on August 19, 2016 by Judy Rom

It may seem like summer is coming to an end but there is still plenty of gorgeous weather left to enjoy. August brings us hot days and cool, comfortable evenings that are perfect for hosting outdoor dinner parties. There's just something really special about dining alfresco and we love putting together gorgeous summer tablescapes for our gatherings. Here are some styles that we find inspiring.

Summer tablescapes

This rustic tablescape is too gorgeous! We are loving the unexpected color combination of citrus yellow with grey, peach and muted greens. This palette really pops and the yellow and antique silver are lovely compliments to one another.

This botanical table runner is the perfect tablescape for a DIYer. Grab your gardening basket and pruners and gather some seasonal branches and flowers from around the yard. Shown here are crab apple branches and Queen Anne's lace. If you don't have the botanical elements at your fingertips we have some amazing life-like florals in the store. The finishing touch of the small green apple really pulls the whole look together.

When you live in the mountains, pine can be more of an everyday accessory rather than just one that just makes an appearance in the winter. Pine cones, juniper berries and native columbines make this rustic tablescape perfect for Colorado.

Candles add lovely ambience to a summer tablescape. Be careful to place them strategically so as not to wilt your flowers from the heat or accidentally burn the branches and leaves.

Small gatherings are perfect for bringing indoor comforts outside. There's something very whimsical about the look of assorted antique chairs in the garden.

This rustic summer tablescape is the perfect combination of picnic-meets-dinner party. The burlap table runner and gingham napkins are too sweet! The gerber daisies and candles perfectly pick up on the red color scheme and the lanterns break up the space nicely.

If your tableware is the star of the show, keep the rest of your accessories neutral so it doesn't become visually overwhelming. These elegant dishes by Laura Zindel are easy to dress up or down depending on your occasion.

This vibrant tablescape really embodies the spirit of summer. We love the glass vases on top of the wooden rounds! Focusing on one color allows you to streamline your decor. Here we see the canary yellow used consistently for the napkins, straws, table runner and flowers. The overall look is so beautiful and fresh.

Which of these summer tablescapes is your favorite?
