Our Favorite Vintage Easter Decoration Ideas

We couldn't be happier that Spring is finally here. Easter decorations are our favorite after the bleakness of winter! This year we are doing a fresh take on vintage Easter decorating with mason jars, galvanized buckets and more. These looks are oh-so gorgeous and super simple to recreate!

Eggs in Mason Jars

When it comes to Easter decorations, eggs are a classic must-have. For a vintage Easter look, we recommend placing colored eggs in mason jars. Milk glass makes a beautiful base for this display.

Mason jars are also gorgeous as vases. Here's a sweet mantle display idea that uses fresh bulbs. Add a little card with twine for a whimsical finishing touch.

Galvanized Buckets

We absolutely adore the look of galvanized metal buckets for vintage Easter decorations!

Here's a pretty idea: use a vintage French olive bucket for a flowering hallway display. This Easter decorating idea would work perfectly with both artificial and real branches. If you're using real branches just place them in a vase of water inside the bucket.

Another Easter decorating idea is to group a few metal buckets together as a display. This is especially lovely with lavender topiaries.

Easter Table Centerpiece

We always enjoy a good table centerpiece and the spotlight is on for Easter! This idea uses an antique wooden dough bowl, a bunny figurine, and some Spring sprigs.

Here's how to make it:

First elevate your bunny figurine by propping it on some books in your dough bowl. Vintage hardcover books are perfect for this.

Then add greenery to your vintage dough bowl. We like mixing two kinds of greenery. Fuzzy lambs ear greens are especially nice for Easter decorations. Next, add some stems of berries. For the final touch, place sprigs of lavender. There it is, a stunning Easter table centerpiece that is easy to make. Just look at those beautiful hues of green, blue and purple! Come visit us in store to browse our incredible selection of springtime stems and sprigs.

Hand Painted Eggs

Have you ever hand-painted Easter eggs? We think they are the ultimate vintage Easter decorating idea! For a fun Easter activity, plan an Easter Egg decorating party. Each guest could paint their own egg to take home with them.
