During the late 19th century, this fireplace screen was made to cover an unused fireplace or block excess heat. It has a solid, free-standing, wood frame with decorative carving. The tapestry depicts two women and a man in an outside setting. One woman and the man are playing musical instruments. The other woman has a book in her lap. The back has some water marks, but the piece has been very well cared for.
