The Nutcracker King has a long tradition of wisdom and authority. There is an air of dignity and kindness in his piercing blue eyes and white head of hair. His official attire includes a crown, red coat, yellow pants, and black boots. His coattails form the lever for opening his white bearded jaw. This Nutcracker King was manufactured by Kunstgewerbe-Werkstätten Olbernhau under the acronym KWO. KWO opened in 1949 and is well known for its traditional, hand made nutcrackers. This vintage nutcracker is a decorative item, not recommended for cracking nuts.
