This beautiful clock was manufactured by Gerson Wintermantel & Company of Germany as indicated by the GW cast iron gong plate inside the back panel. The wooden case features a shell pediment flanked by finials, glass sides, three pendant finials, and a glass door flanked by turned pillars. The clock face is 5.75 inches in diameter. A castle is embossed on the brass pendulum. The clock chimes once on the half hour and counts the hour.
Condition: Consistent with age and use. Evidence of former woodworm on pillars.
