Exquisite carvings on the bench include a pair of lions that serve as armrests and appear more friendly than fierce; a high back of scrolled leaves with an oval medallion at the center flanked by side panels with medallions of opposing gentlemen wearing the same helmet; and a substantial rosette amid fanned leaves below the seat. The seat height is 18.25 inches and lifts to generous storage.
