Manufactured by Les Fonderies Bruxelloises (The Foundries of Brussels) under the acronym LFB, this cast iron coal box was used when cast iron stoves were a primary source of household heat. It features a tub base and slanted hinged lid cast with a dragon, pine sprigs, and cones. The LFB insignia is cast on the flat top.
