Inspired by a combination of rustic simplicity and graceful, soft lines consistent with French Country style furniture, this beautiful armoire was crafted in the late-19th century from solid European oak and finished with a lighter stain than many of the oak armoires we see. The armoire's soft lines are evident in its rounded corners, scalloped panel doors, scalloped apron, and short cabriole legs. The double doors open to generous storage with three shelves. Two external barrel hinges hang each door, complemented by finely detailed escutcheons.
Condition: Consistent with age and use. Dings, scratches, and cracks. Bowing back left frame piece. See photos.
