This large pewter bowl has a diameter of 12 inches with a 1.375 inch rim. Adorned with a pattern of decorative stitching and the initials I. G. G on the rim, the bowl appears to have been marked by its owner sometime after it was acquired. The C L Beindorf maker's mark with the iconic angel and scale logo and Block Zinn can be found on the bottom of the bowl. Christian Ludwig Beindorf resided in Frankfurt, Germany during the early-19th century.
