Belgian Oak Trunk with Iron Hardware

Crafted from European Oak and finished with a light stain, this substantial trunk boasts generous storage and solid construction. The trunk features a recessed plank top and recessed panels on the sides and front. A carved apron below the four front panels showcases elegantly scrolled foliage. Long iron hinges, twisted iron handles, a triangular escutcheon, and a decorative iron embellishment on the top of the trunk add to the style and overall charm. Typical of large trunks during the mid-19th century, there is a narrow lidded box inside the trunk for protecting small items. No key.
