In customary Delft blues, this beautiful plate showcases a reproduction of the 17th-century self-portrait of Rembrandt entitled "Tronie van een man met gevederde baret" or "Tronie (Face or Expression) of a man with a feathered beret." The portrait is encircled in a Delft floral patten at the plate's edge. A Delft maker's mark and "Rembrandt as Officer 1635" can be found on the back of the plate.
Four holes in the plate's footring with string threaded through them allow for easy mounting on a wall.
