Manufactured by the renowned Thorens Company of Switzerland in the mid-20th century, this delightful music box is comprised of a quality fruitwood case with a glass door that allows for viewing the metal discs as they play. The music box has an upright design with a bail handle at the top and block feet at the bottom. Easy to use, the musical mechanism consists of a 30 tooth comb, a wind up key, and start/stop lever. The set includes ten 4.5 inch metallic discs titled: Try to Remember, Over the Waves, More, Lara's Theme, Moon River, Faust Waltz, Merry Widow Waltz, Skater's Waltz, Edelweiss, and Two Hearts in Waltz Time. This piece is in working condition and produces a rich tone.
