Made of thick copper, this substantial pot features a unique texture created by rows of small handmade grooves; iron horseshoe shaped handles secured to the pot with copper rivets; a wide, rolled rim; and a cramp seam brazed with brass filler. The edges of the copper were clipped with metal shears to create the notches of the cramp seam during the 19th century. The diameter at the top of the pot is 25.75 inches.
