An iron crank with a wood handle turns the paddle inside this wooden, barrel butter churn. The barrel is wider than the former dash churn enabling more butter to be made. The paddle also moves more quickly through the cream allowing for faster production than the older dash design. The opening of the barrel is 14.25 inches in diameter. The crank is 10 inches.
