Behind the double, glass doors of this cabinet, bread and other baked goods were allowed to rise. After baking, the cabinet provided a safe place to store the freshly baked items. Three small drawers provided storage for utensils and other baking necessities. Short, turned spindles unite a top and bottom rail, which form the frame of a lower rack. The base of the rack is made of tongue and groove pieces of wood that float with space between the pieces. Bread bowls, bread boards, and pans were stored on the rack. The cabinet and rack can be separated for easy moving. Three labels are affixed to the back of the cabinet.
Condition: Consistent with age and use. Wood separation.
