A hunting theme surrounds the face of this Black Forest cuckoo clock. A six point stag crowns the peak of the clock. The left side has a carved pheasant. The right side has a carved rabbit. An ammunition bag and rifle are displayed beneath the face. Grooved branches with alpine foliage form the clock frame. The clock runs by weight-driven movement with two traditional, metal, pine cone weights and a swinging, wooden pendulum. A small, wooden bird hides behind an arched door with carved leaves and appears when the clock cuckoos. One of the tips of the stag's antlers is broken.
