Mounted on a tripod stand, this paddle butter churn is a significant upgrade from the laborious work required to produce butter from older dash or end-over-end barrel churns. A large crank rotates a four paddle mechanism inside the barrel to agitate the cream, breaking it up rapidly and combining it with air. The barrel is held together by four metal bands. A lid with two handles fits snugly over the top. The churn has not been tested.
