Cast from iron, this vintage field cross is embellished with a crucifix at the center and a skull and crossbones at the base. The arms and top terminate in trefoil designs. Field crosses have a long history of being placed in cemeteries, church yards, vineyards, and fields to invoke blessing.
Condition: Consistent with exposure to the elements. Newer paint.
