They are made by boring holes in two boards hinged at the top, which allows for the wine to incline at a 45 degree angle, then the yeast and sediment can be concentrated at the mouth of the bottle. Vintage riddling racks like this one were made with six columns of ten rows, holding 60 bottles on each side. Ideal for a large party or the avid wine collector!
