French Breton furnishings are distinctive in their heavy, dark oak intricately carved with figures, ship wheels, and fretwork reflecting Brittany's close ties to the sea. This beveled wall mirror features a carved frame of turned fluted pillars at the sides that appear to support its remarkable cornice of partial ship wheels, fretwork, and repetitive floral rosettes consistent with trends from Brittany, France in the late-19th century. The glass measures 22.75 inches x 34.75 inches and has been edited to remove the reflection in most of the photos. Beveling on the mirror can be seen in the final photo.
