German Oak Desk with Burled Walnut Accent

Beautiful from every angle, this German desk showcases a rectangular top over a single drawer flanked by two pedestals. The top features a beveled edge and leather writing surface at the center. The pedestals feature arched doors with recessed burled walnut panels. A slight reverse breakfront is created as the pedestals have outset pieces on the face corners with recessed panels in burled walnut. The left pedestal opens to three newer slide-out shelves. The right pedestal opens to three newer sliding drawers. Recessed panels on the sides, back, and inside kneehole add depth and dimension. Elegant brass pulls adorn the drawer and doors. The desk is raised on melon bun feet. Kneehole dimensions: W 20.75" x H 23.75".
Condition: Consistent with age and use. Newer additions inside pedestals. Water marks on oak top and leather writing surface. Slight shrinkage on some panels and front edge of slide-out shelf addition. Chip on top veneer edge. Cracking veneer on lower trim above one foot. Crack on left side panel. See photos.
