Massey-Harris Co. manufactured farm equipment in Canada from 1891 until it merged to form Massey-Harris-Ferguson in 1953. This bench is fashioned from the hopper of a grain drill which was an original Massey-Harris product. The cast iron sides bear the Massey-Harris maker's mark. The bench seat lifts revealing eight tubes which allowed for well spaced rows of seed. This makes a nice storage area inside the bench. The bench is an ideal piece alongside a vintage farm table or paired with industrial home decor.
