Floral motif needlepoint is featured on this Louis XV armchair, which offers a high back and generous seat. The upholstery is secured with large, nailhead trim. The framework consists of scrolled arms with acanthus leaves on both ends, and scrolled cabriole legs resting on a bell X stretcher with double bun feet separated by flat, carved squares. Flowers are carved on the inside and outside of the scrolls at the end of the arms and at the knees of the legs. The seat height is 20.5 inches.
