Comprised of six chairs and a table with sliding, pull-out leaves on each end, this Louis XV dining set provides a longer table when additional seating is desired. Showcasing a striking parquet top, the table has a scalloped apron with center carvings, whorl feet, and cabriole legs united by an X stretcher. Double scroll stretcher pieces are joined at the center by a dome-cap finial. The chairs are upholstered in newer plush, green fabric, which is secured by nailhead trim. Like the table, the chairs have scalloped aprons and cabriole legs, which terminate in whorl feet. The seat height of the chairs is 19 inches.
