This ornately carved mantle clock depicts a mother bird perched above the clock face, peering down protectively at her hatchlings, which are standing expectantly on the edge of their nest. The carving is from the turn of the century. A battery operated clock and new lamp have been added to the carving, enabling its function as a table lamp and mantle clock.
