Rare pin and cove joinery, which was used in North America exclusively from 1870 to 1900, date this unique, two-piece hutch back to the late 1800s. It is comprised of an upper and lower portion. The upper portion features large wainscot doors, which open to two shelves, and a column of storage to the left made up of a door and four drawers. The lower portion sports two traditional drawers, two pot-belly drawers, and turned legs that terminate in casters. The hutch was originally green and later painted white. As the white paint has become distressed small areas of green are visible.
