This beautiful spring driven, regulator wall clock features a wood case of oak and mahogany with a glass door flanked by turned columns; an enameled clock face with an embossed center; a shaped pendulum depicting a cheerful sunrise over water; and a scalloped apron with a center rosette; and two gadrooning pieces with a large pendant flanked by additional pendants. An exquisite pediment crowns the top of the clock. The clock was manufactured by Gustav Becker and incorporates his initials at the top of the gong plate and the clock key. Becker's reputation for quality workmanship and these identifying marks increase the clock's value.
Condition: Consistent with age and use. Slight shrinkage on door's wood trim. Evidence or former wormwood.
