This bookcase is a stunner. Intricately carved embellishments from head to toe, including: Barley twist columns, lions heads, Green Men with vines, scalloped shells and shields, this piece needs to be seen up close and in person. The Leaded glass door features multiple colors: yellow, red, green and orange, and only one piece of glass has been cracked in its lifetime. The base doubles as a seating area and also opens up to reveal two storage compartments perfect for blankets. Fully adjustable shelves.
Condition: One of the locks has been replaced and no longer latches, the back panels have shrank over time, which is typical for pieces of this age. One of the circular orange glass pieces has a crack, which is not visible from the front. There is a crack in the molding on the left side decorative arch, which does little to detract from the beauty of this piece.
