The Royal Copenhagen Company began manufacturing its Blue Fluted Full Lace porcelain at its foundation in 1775. Therefore, each piece is identified with the #1. Its longevity attests to its beauty. The pattern, still painted by hand, has a continuous lace border with connecting blue floral design. This set of demitasse/espresso cups and saucers are marked with artist #1038. The bar above the "G" in Copenhagen on the trademark indicates the pieces were painted in 1947. The cup holds 3 1/4 ounces.
