Salter's Family Scale with Silvester's Patent. This brass dial scale by Salter weighs items in kilos. The dial is numbered from 0 to 10. The Salter Company was established in 1782 by Richard Salter of West Bromwich England, manufacturing pocket steelyards. Following its establishment, the company made many types of scales including those for home use. The scale's tray has a 9.5" diameter and has some rust.
