Scalloped handles on either side of this pewter soup tureen provided an easy way to carry a vessel full of hot soup. The lid measures 8.25" in diameter and has a decorative finial. The bottom of the tureen is inscribed with four Roman numerals. The center numerals are no longer legible. The pewter ladle has intricate detail on the front and back of the handle.
