Dutch cookie molds are used in the Netherlands for holiday baking of speculaas, a thin shortcrust cookie. Sometimes they are windmills, other times they resemble people. This speculassplank is a carving of a woman in traditional dress with a hat. When not being used for baking, this speculaasplank can be hung in the kitchen from the hole in the back.
