Embossed beaded squares enclosing images of roe deer and a geometric pattern with tulips form a wide, decorative band around this beautiful, silver plated, punch bowl. The gadrooned lid has a scrolled pierced handle with a marquise at the center. The side handles have similar pierced, scroll work on the lower brackets. The well-known (Wurtemberg Metalware Factory) maker's mark of the running ostrich inside a lined rhombus above the letters WMF/G appears on the bottom of the bowl. The bowl is marked OX for oxidized silver and I/O for normal thickness of silver over the base surface.
