An improvement to hand-washing clothes on a washboard, can you imagine the labor involved in using this all-in-one, wood washing machine? Buckets of water were used to fill the tub, the "agitator" rotated as the handle was pumped up and down to move the gears, and garments glided across the fluted interior of the tub, removing dirt and grime. The handle still moves the gears, but the machine has not been tested with water.
Condition: Consistent with age and use. Missing wringer.
