Over the past six years, we've seen hundreds of one-of-a-kind antiques and met an amazing array of customers. Our team is dedicated to sharing the history and beauty of European antiques with the people of Colorado and beyond. So we thought we would take a moment to highlight the people who make everything at Ski Country Antiques & Home happen.
How long have you worked with Ski Country and what brought you to the store?
I've been here six years. When Sharna, the owner, was planning to open the store, her son recommended that she hire me.

We just got in an armoire with the most amazing floral carvings on the door. Unfortunately, it won't fit in my house but someone is going to luck out for sure!
What is your favorite aspect of working at Ski Country?
I've always enjoyed merchandising and creating displays. To be in a store this big and with so many beautiful things is a bit like a kid in a candy store. I have so many options to work with when it's time to change things up.
How long have you worked with Ski Country and what brought you to the store?
Almost six years. My wife, Maggie, started here on the referral of the owner's son, and good friend of mine. With my furniture repair experience, it seemed like a great fit and they needed someone with my skill set. The rest is history!

A dry bar we had at the store for about a month. It was made from reclaimed wood and carvings out of a European house from the 17th century. We bought it as an abandoned item from a mover. After I saw the pictures I knew we had to have it for the store. It didn't last long and now has a new home in Missouri. It was an exceptional piece!
What is your favorite aspect of working at Ski Country?
What I'm here to do! Repairing & restoring antiques. I find it cathartic and when I really get into a piece, it isn't work, but a calling.
How long have you worked with Ski Country and what brought you to the store?
5 years. Sharna, the owner, is a dear, life-long friend. There was an opening at the store, and I was wanting a change so she hired me.

I went on the buying trip to Belgium in 2016. My favorite piece is from the trip - a single door oak cabinet with drawers. In fact, I purchased the piece from Ski Country to hold DVDs and VHS movies. It is a lovely addition to our home.
