Unlike many writing desks, the slanted, top face of this desk folds up rather than down. This enables the user to reach the eight small drawers inside more easily and provides an ideal writing area on top of the desk. Three full length drawers under the slanted face provide additional storage. Carvings on the desk include bead work around the keyholes and lower portion of the desk, small flowers on the drawers, and repetitive oval and circular patterns.
