This charming vintage cupboard is crafted from European oak and finished with a staining technique that darkens the edges, creating depth and an aged appearance. Intentional grooving in the wood before the cupboard was stained gives it a rustic appearance. Its double body construction provides practical storage and a set back display. The high-back display gallery is comprised of a moulded cornice over a scalloped frieze and two double grooved, plate rack shelves. The lower cabinet provides a wealth of storage with its four small vertical drawers flanked by wider drawers over arched raised panel doors. Single shelves behind the doors are removable. Raised on ogee bracket feet, the cupboard is over six feet tall.
Condition: Consistent with age and use. Dings and scratches. Repair to the top underside behind the cornice.
